The smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic from Noel Coward, the playwright of Private Lives, offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, who is, much to the dismay of his current wife, haunted – literally – by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira who is called up by a visiting “happy medium”, one Madame Arcati. Will these blithe spirits haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity or will he find a way to rest in peace?

Follow the plight of Bettina, a poor but honorable Venetian girl as she tries to find her way through this classic tale of love, mistaken identity, and sassy servants. First performed during the Venetian Carnival of 1749 In the Teatro Sant’Angelo, it received the audiences’ adoration and played for 22 nights. Told in the raucous physical style of the commedia dell’arte style, this production is sure to please.
